The Owls offense dominated in a 41-7 victory against Wagner at Lincoln Financial Field for the team’s first home win of the season.
Owls’ top receivers Jadan Blue and Randle Jones did not play due to injuries earlier in the week, but Jose Barbon, Kadas Reams, and Kyle Dobbins stepped up in a big way.
Kyle Dobbins had the biggest game of his college career, as he led the rushing attack for the Owls with 13 carries, 61 yards and three touchdowns.
The team had 115 total rushing yards against Wagner.
Jose Barbon had a career day as the leading receiver with eight receptions for 130 yards and had a 22-yard rush. Kadas Reams scored his first two collegiate touchdowns along with 65 receiving yards.
“The second [touchdown] was a broken play, and we practice that every day. It’s called scramble drill,” Reams said about his second touchdown.
D’Wan Mathis played for the first time since injuring his ankle against Rutgers. He played well, as he was 22 of 32 for 292 yards and two touchdowns.
Temple hosts Memphis for homecoming weekend on Saturday at Noon, as the Owls start their conference schedule. The Tigers are coming off their first loss of the season against UTSA.
