The live stream concert for WHIP Radio’s Rocktober contest will be taking place this Thursday, November 4th at 7 p.m. After facing 14 other bands and different challenges throughout four rounds, Philly-based bands Mom Cheese and Wallace, Tonight! will be opening and headlining the show. You can tune into Rocktober live on WHIP’s Twitch channel here.
Rocktober is WHIP’s virtual battle of the bands contest. Throughout the month of October, local Philadelphia artists have participated in a series of bracket-style competitions hosted on WHIP’s Instagram. Every week, followers have voted for their favorite bands via Instagram story polls. For our semi-finalists, contestants were asked to perform their favorite song with a name in the title. To determine the winner and runner-up, finalists Mom Cheese and Wallace, Tonight! then covered a spooky Halloween song. You can watch all of the renditions on WHIP’s Instagram feed.
Now that you’re all caught up, we’d like to share a few of WHIP’s favorite places to grab a snack while leading up to our final competition on November 4th. Whether you’re looking for a place to tune into the finals or planning to order takeout and watch from the comfort of your own home, we’ve got you covered.
