Hailing from Honesdale, PA, Jeb is involved in filmmaking, content creation, acting, and more here at Temple University.

You’ve probably seen him telling awkward jokes in the elevators of Charles Library, knocking on people’s doors and dancing, or even peeking over your bathroom stall with a mannequin head… hopefully not that last one, though. You’ll find him posting all those comedy skits and more under his alias “WorldOfJeb” on Instagram and TikTok

Inspired by an upbringing of odd jobs and farm living, Sound of Jeb illustrates Jeb’s passion for film and music into a unique performance of original compositions. The group itself brings together a wide range of hand-picked Temple talent, including Jack on guitar, Carter on drums, Calvin on bass, Esther on violin, Phoenix on piano, Lawrence on saxophone, and Ethan on trumpet.

The show was on Saturday, March 29th behind Philly style, Sound of Jeb played 4th in the lineup of mostly student bands.

The artists playing in Sound of Jeb come from a wide range of respective influences, backgrounds, styles of playing, and groups of their own- creating a fascinating combination of sounds during the evening.

As the sun began to set, Jeb counted off with his new single “Endorphin Orphan” (released on all platforms just last month!), leading the band through melodic, folky verses and energetically choreographed choruses.

Safe to say Jeb was not afraid to break the norm when it came to his performance style; a couple times he ran through the crowd, forming a circle around him as he danced and sang.

During the performance and in between songs, Jeb was actively adjusting with the musicians, directing the band through his vision of a song just moments before starting it.

This unpredictable style of playing was a signature of the show, as it showcased the raw and on-the-fly nature of Sound of Jeb’s creative processes. At one point, he stopped singing Happy Birthday to someone in the crowd.

During a phone interview, Jeb remarked that “…the people that play in Sound of Jeb are a collection of enthusiastic, very musically talented people who just love doing it and aren’t worried about any judgment.”

Jeb hinted at an EP coming out soon, including a plethora of features from his friends and fellow Temple musicians. He also stated that there is an “Endorphin Orphan” music video in the works that will be showcasing his unique style of live performance, “…blending all mediums into one cohesive thing because I love them all so much– I can’t choose one…”.

This is a band that you must see live for the full experience!
