If, as a kid, you ever imagined standing on stage as a famous singer, chances are that you envisioned every person in the audience on their feet and belting every lyric back to the stage. For Mariah the Scientist’s concert at The Met on Feb. 24, 2026, that vision paints a perfect picture of what it was like to see the sold-out venue come to life.

First opening the show was AKIA, bringing a soulful and heartfelt R&B groove to start the Hearts Sold Separately tour. The crowd adored AKIA’s set, and almost immediately, the energy was set high for the rest of the night. The second opener was 4batz, who kept all the R&B hype going strong with two dancers sensually circling him and moving to his laid-back beats. Nearing the end of his set, he took off his army camo jacket and t-shirt and moved right up to the barricade, where the pit crowd reached out to him.

Then, the moment everyone in the room was waiting for…pink lights and fog gave way to Mariah The Scientist at the center of the stage.

In her baby pink uniform, girly army officer cap, and her heart proudly on her sleeve, Mariah the Scientist had every fan’s heart in a chokehold with every song she performed. “You got your tissue out? It’s crying time, ladies and gentlemen,” announced Mariah as she transitioned to the song “Rainy Days.” The concert celebrated emotional lovers through a softly sensual tone under red and pink lights.

Mariah’s voice was steady and smooth throughout the entire performance. Calm and smiling, Mariah easily embraced all the energy the crown poured out. Accompanying her on stage were three musicians and two dancers. The dancers had on a utility-style set in light pink to match Mariah and the army theme.

Around the middle of her set, Mariah brought out Fridayy, Philly’s very own singer and rapper, to perform “Death Do Us Part” with her. “[Fridayy’s] the best. I be crying to his music though,” said Mariah when the crowd cheered at the end of their song.

Every song sounded like a crowd favorite throughout Mariah the Scientist’s entire set. The crowd energy never wavered and Mariah’s performance delivered all the lover girl feels, both visually and sonically. Further making the night a memorable experience for her fans, Mariah signed vinyls and other merch toward the end of the set as she hit every note.
