CBS’s Celebrity Big Brother, a spin-off of the network’s hit reality TV series Big Brother, hit television screens this past Monday and has graced viewers with twists, turns, and drama almost every day this week since.
The cast of the show was announced back on January 13 including stars such as Olympic athletes Ryan Lochte and Lolo Jones, actors Joey Lawrence and Jonathan Bennett, and musicians Kandi Burruss and Tamar Braxton. Other contestants include comedian Tom Green, WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie, NFL superstar Ricky Williams, and self-proclaimed “momager” to her daughter Lindsay, Dina Lohan.
Two more surprising additions to the cast include Kato Kaelin, famous actor and host who was brought into the public eye as a witness in the O.J. Simpson murder case, and part entrepreneur, part political consultant to President Trump, Anthony “The Mooch” Scaramucci.
The two-night premiere, split between Monday and Tuesday night, was followed by another episode on Wednesday, bringing fights and feuds between half of the cast, including a heated dispute between cast members Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss who have history from far before filming the show.
Another controversy that has fans speculating is the disappearance of Scaramucci from the show’s live feeds, which allow viewers to watch the cast go about their days live within the Big Brother house almost 24/7. Scaramucci was gone from the house before the feeds were even turned on and fans have been trying to guess the reason why since. So far the former White House Director of Communications is still present in the episodes airing on CBS, so those looking for answers will still have to wait.
The week one events will come to a close in tonight’s episode, airing at 8:00 p.m. ET. The series is scheduled to air its finale on Wednesday, February 13, where one of the 12 contestants will win the cash prize of $250,000.
