New Captain Marvel Trailer Arrives

Monday Night Football has never been so marvelous. During the halftime of tonight’s Redskins / Eagles game, the new trailer appeared front-and-center.

Captain Marvel features Brie Larson in the titular role of Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, as she explores her past between the two worlds of earth, and the Kree planet of Hala. Samuel Jackson appears along side of her, reprising his long time role of Nick Fury. Jackson was aged down with CGI to make him appear, as he would’ve in the film’s setting of the 1990’s.

Also returning to the fray are the Marvel veterans Lee Pace as the Kree, Ronan the Accuser (of Guardians of the Galaxy) and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson.

Little is known of the plot right now outside of the exploration of Danvers’ origin, and a battle between the Kree and another alien race: the Skrulls. We hope the future trailers will clarify more on this, though we’ll undoubtedly have to wait for the movie’s premier to get the full scope. In the mean time, we’ll gladly make due with the clips we’ve been giving of Brie Larson kicking butt and Samuel Jackson making time for cats.
