Safe In Sound tour hits Philly!
In case you missed the blow out dance party at Festival Pier this weekend, fear not, WHIP has you covered with all the highlights and lowlights of the show!
Safe In Sound music festival finally made it’s way to Philadelphia last Saturday (9/27) with some of the biggest names in Electronic and Dubstep music headlining the show. Including Adventure Club, Excision, Flux Pavilion and Zeds Dead with opening acts Terravita and ƱZ. The bass was blasting through a 150,000 watt PK Sound System at the event hosted at Festival Pier near Penn’s Landing. Ravers and bass-heads alike joined together to enjoy what turned out to be a beautiful day and an epic show. While the sets, lasers and visuals themselves were great as usual, this was my first experience at Festival Pier where the security was extremely strict. Every patron was required to take their shoes off, go through a thorough body check, and was prohibited was from bringing in any bags or the popular rave-wear, kandi. Besides the stringent security and the ridiculously overpriced food and drinks (try $12 a beer, $5 a water) the show was filled with good vibes, great music, and most importantly, good people. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits without much incident going on. As with most large EDM gatherings, the apparel worn by ravers was very interesting and extremely diverse, ranging from a onesie bear-costume, glowing robot suit and some of the most psychedelic looking t-shirts I have ever seen. Heres a glimpse of what you missed:
