Ryan Shuttleworth – General Manager

Ryan Shuttleworth is a senior Communication Studies major. He originally hails from the City of Brotherly Love; however, he has spent most of his life in Deptford, New Jersey, which Ryan calls home to this very day. His radio career started in a very unusual fashion. Shuttleworth originally wanted to become a professional pilot and earned his Private Single Engine aircraft license while attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. It was here that Ryan got his thirst for radio, first being the on-air personality and creator of The Simply Sinister Show, which specializes in playing Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, for ERAU’s campus radio, The WIKD 102.5FM.

During his tenure at WIKD, he rose through the ranks becoming the station’s Program Director and eventually General Manager. At this point in his life, Ryan realized this is what he was born to do. So he packed up his flight gear/headphones, moved back to Philly, and became a Temple Owl. During his first semester, he was hired as the Program Director for WHIP and a month later took on the role of General Manager. Along with being the General Manager, Ryan is also an intern for the Music Department of 93.3 WMMR (His all-time favorite radio station). He also does The Simply Sinister Show on WHIP.
